STAFF MEMBER AT ASTORIA AQUATIC CENTER TESTED POSITIVE FOR COVID-19

Fri, Sep 10, 2021

The City of Astoria is reporting that a staff member at the Astoria Aquatic Center has tested positive for COVID-19. We are in the process of communicating directly with all staff members who may have been in close contact (within 6 feet of someone for a cumulative total of 15 minutes or more over a 24-hour period).

All health and safety protocols are being followed at the Aquatic Center and out of an abundance of caution, the facility will be closed through the weekend to sanitize surfaces and clean common areas. We plan to reopen the facility with its regular hours on Monday, September 13. The City of Astoria continues to remain diligent with State of Oregon and CDC COVID-19 protocols and is following all recommendations of the Oregon Health Authority.

For more information on COVID-19, including symptoms of which you may want to be aware, please visit the Oregon Health Authority COVID-19 website or the US Centers for Disease Control & Prevention COVID-19 website. Or contact the Clatsop County Public Health department.
