March 17, 2020 - The City of Astoria will be closing City facilities to walk in visitors and limiting access to appointments only. This will affect all City Facilities including City Hall and the Public Safety Building.
The closure will be in place March 18 through March 31, 2020. Facilities that have already closed are the Astoria Public Library, Astoria Aquatic Center, Recreation Center and Port of Play and Lil' Sprouts Academy at Gray School. City parks will remain open to the public.
Patrons who require assistance may contact the respective City Department by phone or email for more information. For your convenience we also offer services online at www.astoria.or.us. Departments manage their own Facebook pages and provide updates regularly. Those updates also appear on the homepage of the City website for those who are not following on Facebook.
Water bills, parking tickets and parking space reservations and renewals and more may be paid for over the phone. Customers may also place payments in the drop box outside of the main entrance.
Pay your water bill using Quick Payment on the website. Please have your account number ready as well as the customer’s last name as shown on the utility bill.
Permit applications and questions about activities that are performed within the City and on City right-of-ways can be submitted through email. Contact information is provided on each form to call for questions.
“The health and safety of our community is our first priority,” said City Manager, Brett Estes. “But we do understand the need to continue to conduct personal business while addressing recommended state and federal guidelines.”
All scheduled meetings of the City Council, Astoria Planning Commission, Historic Landmarks Commission and Design Review Commission will be conducted at a reduced capacity of 25 individuals with a limited seating arrangement which will allow for social distancing.
