The City of Astoria established the "Arts and Cultural Program to Promote Tourism" as a way to promote tourism in the City by funding art and cultural events and projects. Funding for this program comes from the Promote Astoria Fund which receives its funding from Transient Lodging taxes. For the 2017-2018 budget year, the City will make available an amount not to exceed $54,040 for funding of well established, not for profit social service organizations.

Arts and Cultural Program and Community Organization Grant Applications are available on the City of Astoria Website for interested organizations to prepare their information for submittal and consideration.  The following links will take interest organizations to the instructions for each type of funding:

2017-18 Community Organization Information Notice

Applications are due no later than close of business February 28, 2017.

Previous recipients are required to provide documentation of the expenditure of the distributions for funds received in July 2016 along with a project status report.  Failure to provide required reports and financial documentation may jeopardize the opportunity of an organization to receive future distributions.
